The Dragon Boat Race promises an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike. Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or trying it for the first time, this thrilling adventure is open to everyone.
Enjoy a day packed with adrenaline-pumping action, teamwork, and camaraderie—all in support of our community and charity.
Dragon boat racing is a forward-facing rowing competition featuring 16 rowers and a drummer at the bow. A professional coxswain, provided by the specialist dragon boat company, will steer from the rear. No prior experience is required, as each team will receive an individual induction on the day. Rest assured, your safety is our top priority. We are working closely with a specialist dragon boat events company to ensure all legal, health and safety, and public liability requirements are fully covered.

The Location
Fairlop Waters, Forest Road Barkingside, Essex, IG6 3HN (map location).
It is easily accessible from the M25, via the A12, also from the city of London, via the A11 and A12. It is also conveniently positioned for ease of transport via the Central Line to Fairlop and Barkingside stations, which are only a short walk to the complex.
Parking is available and there is disabled access to the grounds.
